Smell that? That\'s the smell of spring in the air around Aquia Terrace. With great weather finally upon us, be sure to check out Widewater State Park, one of the many great things to see in Stafford VA.

Widewater State Park spans more than 1,000 acres on the banks of Aquia Creek and the Potomac River. The park\'s ample water access make it an excellent spot for canoeing and kayaking, and there\'s also some great fishing action. The Potomac River is known to produce hefty catches of bass, panfish, stripers, walleye and catfish.
Hiking and bicycling opportunities are available as well. You can access the park on Brent Point Road, less than 25 minutes from Aquia Terrace Apartments.
Widewater State park is currently in development by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, so you can expect huge improvements and additions to the park in the near future, including an improved boat launch, picnic areas, camping facilities, playgrounds and an extensive trail systems.
