Source: MorgueFile[/caption] Garbage disposals are a great way to get rid of waste, but after a while, they can begin to smell as bad as your garbage. Here’s how you can clean the garbage disposal at your Stafford apartment.
  • Option One: Cut a citrus fruit, such as a lemon or an orange in half, and then slice it. Make sure to dispose of the seeds in your garbage can, or better yet, use seedless oranges. Put the slices of fruit in the garbage disposal. Turn on the machine and run cold water down the unit. Once the fruit is ground up, your garbage disposal should smell citrus fresh!
  • Option Two: A second option for cleaning and deodorizing your garbage disposal is to use vinegar and baking soda. Put about a third of a cup of baking soda down the garbage disposal. Then, add a fourth of white vinegar, letting the mixture set for about five minutes. This will allow the vinegar and baking soda to react and foam. After five minutes, rinse with cold water and the smell should be gone.
